As part of a joint project with Lancashire County Council, Rethink Rebuild Society organised a meeting with Syrian refugees sponsored by Lancashire County Council on Sunday 15th of July 2018. The project aimed to assess the Health and Wellbeing of the families under the Refugee Resettlement Programme.
The meeting discussed the results of a questionnaire that was taken by the families regarding their health and well-being. Attendants talked about their concerns and the issues facing them living in a new country. Although the focus of the project was on the mental and psychological state of refugees, the discussion of other areas of concern was inevitable. These areas included: education, housing and employment.
The responses of the attendants were integrated into the findings of the project in order to achieve better understanding by Lancashire County Council of the issuing facing them.
