We hosted an iftar dinner party on Saturday 17th June, as part of the The Great Get Together celebrating the legacy of Jo Cox. Many representatives from different communities attended - it was great to see such a diverse group come together to show we have more in common. Among the guests were Jo's aunt Gabrielle Cox, Martin Judd from Rotary Manchester Trailblazers, theatre producer and director Benedict Power, Archdeacon of Manchester Karen Lund and representatives from the Syrian community.
Jo Cox was passionate about the Syrian cause and was one of our most vocal supporters - she is missed everyday. We hope that we can honour her legacy by standing together against hatred and extremism of all forms. Many thanks to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success.
